First, to answer one of my reader’s questions, this photo was taken on a brief return visit to Peterborough, where I lived for six years.
I’m looking forward to reading your questions. I’ll be able to answer some of them in my blog and use these as points for in depth discussion in my upcoming book.
I must thank those of you who have shown interest in my first book, PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA, MY LABEL, MY LIFE. You’ve persuaded me to write its sequel, updating you on what has happened to me since it was published. One of my important readers has even suggested a title:
PARANOID SCHIZOPHRENIA. RECOVERY, LIFE ON MY OWN
I expect to publish this after a few years. Most of the material is ready, all I need do is edit it. This will take me some time as I have many tasks vying for my time, not least of which are my grade 6 music theory exam and my practical grade 3 clarinet exam. Both of these I find are a challenge! The music theory is a huge step up from the grade 5 in which I scored a distinction. I have set my goals: I want to achieve a distinction in the grade 6 theory paper too and to excel in my theory studies. I am battling with the practical clarinet studies, I think my age, lack of agility, general fitness and stamina are hurdles challenging my path forwards.
The medication I need for my mental illness has given me severe Parkinson’s, which I find very difficult to cope with. I’ve been waiting to see a new consultant psychiatrist for well over five months! At long last I’ve been issued with a definite appointment.
Now back to my studies, my sure source of sanity!
I’ll keep you posted,
Bruce.
